Saxony: Man in custody for drug trafficking with a crypto cell phone

Dresden (dpa / sn) - A 23-year-old is being investigated on suspicion of drug trafficking. As the Dresden public prosecutor announced on Tuesday, the man is said to have used a crypto phone in March 2021 to resell a total of 22 kilograms of crystal worth around 300,000 euros and 10 kilograms of marijuana for 4,500 euros. Crypto phones are prepared smartphones to communicate encrypted and to avoid possible criminal prosecution. The accused has been in custody since June 2nd. At the same time, the police searched his home, where they found five mobile phones and an expensive watch. The investigations continue.
