Saxony: Motorcyclist dies after an accident in Auerbach

Auerbach (dpa/sn) - A 59-year-old motorcyclist died in an accident in Auerbach (Vogtland district) on Sunday. As the Zwickau police headquarters announced on Monday night, the man in the Beerheide district had left the road shortly before a junction in a slight left turn and collided with a traffic sign. The driver was thrown from the motorcycle and hit a wooden pole. Rescue workers could no longer help him, he died at the scene of the accident, it was said. The property damage was estimated at around 15,000 euros.
