Saxony: Motorcyclist fatally injured in a collision

Adorf (dpa/sn) - A motorcyclist collided with a truck near Adorf (Vogtlandkreis) on Tuesday afternoon and was fatally injured. The 51-year-old was probably traveling too fast and drifted into the oncoming lane in a curve, the police said. There he collided with the oncoming truck. The impact threw the 51-year-old off his motorcycle and injured him so badly that he died at the scene of the accident. The driver of the truck was not injured. The police estimate the damage caused to be around 20,000 euros. The road was completely closed for the rescue work.
