Saxony: Ore Mountains bring up the rear in terms of wages and salaries

Kamenz (dpa/sn) - There are large regional differences in wages and salaries in Saxony. In 2020, they were lowest on average in the Ore Mountains and the district of Görlitz with 28,409 and 29,139 euros per employee. The front runner, on the other hand, was Dresden with 36,392 euros, followed by Leipzig with 35,472 euros, as the State Statistical Office announced on Thursday. For Saxony as a whole, average gross earnings rose by 1.1 percent to EUR 32,440 per capita. Within a year, there was growth in all districts and urban districts except for the district of Zwickau. According to the statisticians, there was a minus of 0.7 percent.
