Saxony: Pentecost: ADAC expects traffic jams on Saxon autobahns

Dresden/Munich (dpa/sn) - After the Ascension Day weekend, the General German Automobile Club (ADAC) expects traffic jams on the Saxon motorways to continue over the Pentecost holidays. According to the ADAC, drivers from almost all federal states will probably be on the road. Some federal states, including Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg, start school holidays, some of which last several weeks, at Pentecost. There are no Pentecost holidays in Saxony.

In Saxony, there is a risk of massive traffic disruptions on the north-south and east-west tangents, especially in the construction site areas. The ADAC expects heavy traffic on the congested sections of the A4, A9, A14 and A17, especially on Friday late afternoon, but also in the morning hours of Saturday.
