Dresden (dpa / sn) - Saxony's Minister of Education Christian Piwarz (CDU) expects problems in securing lessons in the new school year. One would like to have even more new teachers, but the increased study capacities in recent years are not yet reflected in the number of applicants, said Piwarz on Thursday in Dresden. "Overall, the situation in the provision of teaching remains tense." With a view to further recruitment in the new school year, however, he was optimistic: "In the course of the school year we will be able to reduce the gaps that still exist."
The Education and Science Union saw Saxony set up "extremely badly" on Wednesday and spoke of an oath of disclosure.
