Horka (dpa/sn) - In Horka (Görlitz district), a man is said to have hit a police officer who wanted to settle a dispute. The officer was slightly injured, the police said on Saturday. The accused had an argument with his partner on Friday evening. When the officer intervened, the man is said to have hit him in the face with his hand. The policeman fell and had to defend himself against the man's kicks on the ground.
The emergency services were on site because the 30-year-old had left the road with his car and crashed into a tree, it said. He was slightly injured. Why he left the road is unclear. Police couldn't say why the couple got into an argument. Other forces arrested the man for the time being. Because of the attack, he must now answer in court. There was property damage of around 6,000 euros, it said.
