Saxony: Premiere: Three little flamingo chicks in Chemnitz Zoo

Chemnitz (dpa / sn) - Like a small kindergarten: For the first time in almost 30 years at Chemnitz Zoo, the pink flamingos have had offspring. At the beginning of July, three chicks hatched, as the zoo announced on Tuesday. They are already lively and form "a kind of kindergarten". There were eggs on six breeding mounds - it is not yet clear whether other young animals will peel from them. The zoo now hopes that the chicks will stay healthy and be protected by the group. According to the information, flamingos only reproduce if a certain number of animals live in the group.
