Radeberg/Görlitz (dpa/sn) - Three people were injured in a fire in an apartment building in Radeberg (Bautzen district). A 59-year-old woman and the 37- and 70-year-old men were taken to a hospital with suspected smoke inhalation, the police in Görlitz said. 24 residents of the house were brought to safety. They were billeted in alternative accommodation.
The fire broke out early Thursday morning and, according to the police, may have been caused by the 70-year-old negligently burning a candle. The house was completely on fire, it was said. It is uninhabitable.
