Saxony: Schuster promises consequences after Böhmermann experiment

Leipzig (dpa / sn) - Saxony's Interior Minister Armin Schuster (CDU) announced consequences to the police after a Böhmermann broadcast. An action by "ZDF Magazin Royale" had shown that a complaint made orally about hate comments in a Leipzig police station was apparently not processed. The police are investigating suspected criminal obstruction in the office against unknown persons. It is not yet known exactly where this ad was lost and by whom, but you will find out, said Schuster in an interview with MDR Sachsen.

The Saxon police basically take care of the topic of hate and hate speech on the Internet. "We have created a special information center at the State Criminal Police Office, we hold Action Days, we have specialists in the police departments. Maybe we neglected to train every single officer, every patrol officer, how do I deal with such a report. We're working on that now after," said the interior minister.

In other federal states, too, investigations into criminal prosecution were initiated against police officers. According to the authorities, a second written report received by the Saxon police was properly processed.
