Saxony: series of burglaries in houses in and around Dresden – man accused

Dresden (dpa / sn) - In connection with extensive investigations into a larger gang of thieves, the Dresden public prosecutor's office has accused a suspected member. The 28-year-old is accused of having stolen items with a total value of 260,000 euros together with accomplices in just under two years when burglary in single-family houses in Dresden and the surrounding area. It is about nine cases between January 2020 and the beginning of December 2022 in Dresden, Freital and Bannewitz, in which jewelry, watches, gold bars and cash were stolen. In addition, the burglars left behind the information according to property damage of at least 20,000 euros. The suspect, identified by traces at the crime scene, has been in custody since the beginning of March, and the loot has disappeared. The Moldovan, who has a criminal record in France, has not yet commented on the allegations.
