Dresden (dpa/sn) - Internationally celebrated cellists such as Mischa Maisky, Harriet Krijgh and Ivan Monighetti surprisingly presented themselves as street musicians in Dresden on Wednesday. At a cello flash mob at the music festival in the city on the Elbe, they played for passers-by for half an hour before the procession of princes. Festival director Jan Vogler also picked up his cello and bow. David Geringas and Zlatomir Fung completed the round. The performance was part of the program "Cellomania 2.0". This is a series of 19 concerts performed by cellists from all over the world. This year's Dresden Music Festival has the motto "Magic" and will last until June 10th.
