Mockrehna (dpa/sn) - On an access road to a planned refugee accommodation in Mockrehna in northern Saxony, unknown persons have installed steel bars on the roadway. The police announced on Monday that these had been fixed across the entire width of the street in such a way that they protruded. The police are investigating because of the dangerous intervention in road traffic. Since a political motivation cannot be ruled out, the state protection of the criminal police is also dealing with the case.
The steel rods had to be removed by the road maintenance department after the discovery on Sunday. According to the information, no one was hurt, the amount of property damage is still unclear. The building is a former ammunition depot that is to be used in the future as an initial reception facility for refugees. A patrol car crew had discovered the steel bars.
