Saxony: Teenagers with illegal firecrackers stopped at the border

Altenberg (dpa/sn) - The federal police stopped a young moped driver with illegal firecrackers in his luggage at the Czech border. Task forces checked the 17-year-old on Wednesday evening near Altenberg (Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains district), as the federal police announced on Thursday. Accordingly, the young person had bought the fireworks of hazard classes F2 and F4 in the Czech Republic. The unauthorized firecrackers contained a total of about a kilo of explosives. A defusing service arrived and secured the pyrotechnics. The youth is being investigated for violating the Explosives Act.
