The plan is for them to sound the alarm at 11 a.m. The city has expanded this warning system and installed ten new electronic sirens. Another is still under construction, informed the city administration. The test run will now test whether the new technology works. The goal is a nationwide and functional warning system that is up to date. The nationwide warning day 2020 also revealed weaknesses in Chemnitz.
