Chemnitz (dpa/sn) - War refugees from Ukraine are no longer being distributed to Saxony by the federal government for the time being. So far, the Free State has taken in 3,000 more refugees than it should according to the nationwide key, said a spokesman for the Saxony State Directorate on Tuesday. Therefore, people would currently be distributed to other countries. The spokesman could not say which federal states are involved. The MDR had previously reported.
Exceptions such as family reunification are therefore possible and are based on corresponding decisions by the municipalities. This includes first-degree family members such as children and spouses.
