Dresden (dpa/sn) - Fire broke out in a bakery stall at the spring market in Dresden on Sunday evening. Three people were injured, according to the fire department. The stand operators, security and several bystanders had tried to fight the fire with fire extinguishers. The fire was eventually extinguished by responding firefighters.
About ten people were cared for on site by the emergency services and some were given medical care - three of them had to be taken to the hospital because of suspected smoke poisoning. The fire probably broke out due to improper disposal of glowing coal, said a police spokesman.
