Pirna (dpa/sn) - Tourism companies in Saxon Switzerland can now apply for emergency forest fire aid. An online platform has been activated, said Minister of Tourism Barbara Klepsch (CDU) on Wednesday. Up to 5,000 euros would be paid, in special cases up to 20,000 euros. The emergency aid is intended to support companies that had lost sales due to the devastating forest fires in the summer. The program has around two million euros available. The aid is paid out via the district office of Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains.
