Stollberg (dpa/sn) - Two pedestrians were hit by a car and seriously injured when crossing a federal road in the Stollberg district of Gablenz (Erzgebirgskreis). An 85-year-old man has life-threatening injuries and an 82-year-old woman has serious injuries, a police spokesman said on Thursday evening. Both were taken to the hospital. The 49-year-old driver of the car was unharmed. The accident happened around 5 p.m. on federal highway 169 in the direction of Stollberg.
