Leipzig (dpa/sn) - Customs checked catering establishments in Leipzig on Thursday. The control was about compliance with social security regulations such as the payment of pension and health insurance contributions or minimum wage and illegal employment, as a spokesman for the main customs office said.
It said that restaurants, shisha bars, bistros and late-night outlets have been checked since the early evening. Officials from the federal and state police and the State Criminal Police Office (LKA) in Saxony were also involved in the operation.
