Bautzen (dpa/sn) - A valuable historical pocket watch made around 1900 by the company A. Lange
According to the information, the watch was donated to the museum in 1921 from a private collection. At the end of the Second World War, it was relocated to Leisnig and stolen there. It later appeared in an Austrian private collection and was auctioned and resold several times. It has now been possible to acquire the watch from the estate of the entrepreneur Eriwan Haub, it is said.
According to the information, the watch has a case made of platinum-plated gold and enamel, a diameter of 59 millimeters and bears the number 41000. Visitors to the museum will not be able to see them at first. According to a museum spokeswoman, however, an exhibition is being worked on. An exact date has not yet been set.
