Dresden (dpa/sn) - The Dresden Film Nights have reached a new half-time record with 133,500 visitors. "This is the best result we've ever had at halftime in the history of the film nights," said Johannes Vittinghoff from the organizers on Tuesday, according to the announcement. After that, by the end of July, 47,000 cinema fans and 86,500 guests came to concerts and other events. The response is well above the values of previous years, even before the pandemic. That testifies to the desire of people to do things again.
Films will continue to flicker on the giant screen on the Königsufer in front of the baroque backdrop of the old town until August 28th, and other bands will be guesting on the stage with Silbermond and Sarah Connor - and pop singer Roland Kaiser is asking for the second half of this year's "Kaisermania". In 2021, more than 65,000 visitors came to the spectacle on the Elbe, which lasted several weeks, in the first Corona year there were around 67,500 - and in 2019 around 238,680 guests - a record.
