Saxony: Vogtlandmilch receives millions in funding

Plauen/Dresden (dpa/sn) - The dairy company Vogtlandmilch has received 13.8 million euros from the Free State for environmentally friendly and sustainable production. The business premises in Plauen (Vogtlandkreis) are to be expanded with the money, as the Ministry of Economics announced on Thursday.

The company will invest a total of 40 million euros in the coming year to expand its capacities and to secure and create new jobs and training positions. In addition, among other things, the production of long-life milk is to be doubled and a photovoltaic system and a combined heat and power plant are to be set up. According to the information, Vogtlandmilch was founded in 1928 and is owned by two producer groups from the region.
