Saxony: Warm and cloudy weekend expected in Saxony

Dresden (dpa / sn) - People in Saxony have to prepare for a warm and cloudy weekend. On Friday there can be individual, strong thunderstorms at noon and at night, as the German Weather Service (DWD) announced on Friday. Heavy rain, hail and stormy gusts can occur. The temperatures on Friday range from 30 degrees in the Leipzig area to 36 degrees in Upper Lusatia. The lows are between 17 and 13 degrees. In the north it will stay dry at night, in the south and east there will be showers and thunderstorms.

"We expect a complete change in weather after the very hot day yesterday," said a spokesman for the DWD. A cold front will displace the warm air of the past few days during the course of the day.

"Saturday will be a pretty nice and sunny day," said the spokesman for the DWD. It stays rain free. Maximum temperatures range from 22 to 25 degrees, at higher altitudes from 16 to 21 degrees. At night, temperatures drop to 13 to 7 degrees. Sunday starts sunny. Then cumulus clouds form, but it remains dry. The temperatures rise to a maximum of 25 to 27 degrees, in the higher altitudes 20 to 24 degrees. The lows are between 14 and 9 degrees. On Monday it should be up to 27 degrees warm.
