Neißeaue (dpa / sn) - A young she-wolf fell into a two and a half meter deep concrete shaft on the edge of a field in Neißeaue (Görlitz district) and was temporarily trapped. The puppy was first stunned in the shaft in the Deschka district and rescued by the fire brigade, as the State Office for the Environment, Agriculture and Geology and the police announced on Friday. A veterinary examination showed that the animal was not injured in the fall. The she-wolf was then released back into the wild.
A walker with his dog discovered the wolf on Friday morning and called the police. The fire brigade and the Lupus wolf office were also involved in the rescue. Based on the location, it was probably a puppy of the Neißeaue pack, it said.
