Second win for Icelanders: Rúrik Gíslason wins Let's Dance Christmas show

Rúrik Gíslason is no stranger to "Let's Dance" fans. He had already won the RTL show in 2021. In the big Christmas show of the format, he now proves that he has not forgotten how to dance since then.

Former Icelandic soccer player Rúrik Gíslason won "Let's Dance – The Big Christmas Show" (also via RTL). He can now call himself "Christmas Dancing Star 2022". This time he started with dance partner Malika Dzumaev. Together, the dancing couple received 30 points from the jury for both their jive act and their contemporary dance. The two not only convinced Motsi Mabuse, Jorge González and Joachim Llambi, but were also rewarded with standing ovations from the audience.

In the end, the TV audience decided who won the show, which also featured René Casselly and Kathrin Menzinge, Lili Paul-Roncalli and Massimo Sinató, Janin Ullmann and Zsolt Sándor Cseke, as well as Mathias Mester and Renata Lusin. Viewers could vote even though it wasn't a live show. As "RTL.de" reports, not only the show, but all possible ends of the show were recorded.

On Instagram, Gíslason explains under the winning post from RTL: "Thank you everyone. 'Let's Dance' has a very special place in my heart." In 2021, Gíslason took part in the 14th season of the dance show and achieved first place with his dance partner Renata Lusin. For Malika Dzumaev it is the first victory in "Let's Dance".
