Police say that several people were shot at a shopping center in Copenhagen, the Danish capital.
The Field's Mall, south of the city, was visited by armed officers. It is unknown how many people were killed or injured.
All roads leading to it and the metro line connecting it to the city center have been closed. Ambulance and fire crews are on the scene.
Later, police said that one suspect was arrested but did not provide any details.
Jyllands-Posten newspaper was told by Emilie Jeppesen, Eyewitness: "You didn’t know what happened." There was chaos everywhere suddenly."
