"Sexist question" unwanted: Sarah Jessica Parker is aging sausage

Sarah Jessica Parker doesn't care about getting older. As the actress explained in an interview, she doesn't worry about it and finds it "sexist" that men are never asked about the topic.

Sarah Jessica Parker doesn't care about getting older. "I don't think about it. That's the absolute truth," says the actress in an interview with "InStyle". But: "I'm forced to think about it, for professional reasons and because other people want me to think about it or because they think about my age," the 57-year-old said.

She's conscious of her age and doesn't live in a "wrong universe," but she just doesn't worry about it. The fact that many other women do this is understandable for the US star. "I think the concerns are legitimate because of the focus and attention on women and aging," Parker said.

Parker sees the biggest problem in misogyny (misogyny to the point of hating women). "It baffles me that we don't talk about men in the same way. It's bizarre that we're still so overtly sexist about these things."

The US actress had already resisted superficial criticism of her and her "Sex and the City" colleagues last fall. "There is so much misogynist chatter in response to us. It would never happen to a man like that," she told US fashion magazine "Vogue" at the time.

One topic was her gray hair. Criticism on social media is particularly harsh. "Everyone has something to say: She has too many wrinkles, she doesn't have enough wrinkles". She knows what she looks like, Parker said. "I have no choice. What should I do about it? Stop aging? Disappear?"

Parker played relationship columnist Carrie Bradshaw in the cult series about New York women and their romantic adventures. In January, the streaming service HBO Max announced the new edition "And Just Like That ..." - with Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis as the main actresses, only Kim Cattrall is missing from the original female cast.
