Showers and strong storms will unload in Andalusia and Catalonia with instability in the rest of the Peninsula

The storm that hits the Peninsula continues its advance. Locally strong showers and storms will arrive this Monday in areas of eastern Andalusia and northeastern Catalonia, an instability that will contrast with the progressive rise in thermometers in some areas of the Peninsula until temperatures more typical for this time of year are reached.

As reported by the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), instability will continue in the Peninsula and the Balearic Islands with cloudy skies and daytime cloudiness.

In fact, showers and storms are expected that will affect the southern half and center of the peninsula, north of Aragon and northeast of Catalonia, and may be locally strong in the surroundings of eastern Andalusia and northeast of Catalonia.

The showers will be occasional in areas of the northern plateau, the Ebro valley and the rest of the Mediterranean area. The rains will be weak and scattered in the northern third, which could be more intense and persistent in the eastern end of the Bay of Biscay.

Cloudy skies will predominate in the Canary Islands and weak rainfall is not ruled out in the north of the higher relief islands, as well as some isolated showers in the interior.

Likewise, dust in suspension is expected in the southeast of the peninsula without being ruled out in the Balearic Islands. Daytime temperatures will tend to drop in the southern and eastern thirds of the peninsula, Galicia and the western Cantabrian area, and rise in the rest of the Peninsula and in the Balearic Islands. In the Canary Islands, no changes are expected in the thermometer.

The minimums begin to rise in the interior of the northern half and in the southeast of the peninsula, with few changes or slight decreases in the rest. The wind will be from the northeast in Galicia and on the northern plateau and from the northwest in the Ebro tending to the northeast or variable. From the north in Ampurdán and from the northeast of the Balearic Islands. In the Canary Islands the wind will blow from the north.
