Hugo Lloris, captain of France's football team, said Thursday that the incidents in France's football stadiums and the scandal at the Stade de France Champions League final were "not good publicity" for his country.
"In a fairly broad way, what have we seen in France at different stadiums, it's not good publicity for France football," stated the goalkeeper in a conference of media, held from the Stade de France, Saint-Denis, where the Blues will face Denmark on Friday (8.45 p.m. in the League of Nations).
"I hope all the responsible will resolve these questions. This is not what we want, even if the final was not dependent on France. Five days after the delays that caused the Liverpool-Real Madrid kickoff to be postponed, we like it when we feel safe.
Guy Stephan, the assistant coach for the Blues who has replaced Didier Deschamps (exonerated after a family funeral), also mentioned this final.
