Not Lucas, not Gigi and not Tessa either – at the “Big Reunion” of the jungle stars, Cosimo Citiolo suddenly got caught in the crossfire of criticism. And the Zoff is far from over even after the show. The "Checker vom Neckar" is still in the pillory.
When this year's participants in "I'm a Celebrity - Get Me Out of Here!" meet again on Monday evening in "The Great Reunion" on RTL (also available on RTL), there can be no talk of great reconciliation. But it's not the usual suspects like Lucas Cordalis, Gigi Birofio or Tessa Bergmeier that raise the level of excitement. Rather, it is Cosimo Citiolo, who turns several former fellow campers against himself.
It is not primarily about the behavior of the 41-year-old in the jungle, but about things that are said to have happened after he left the camp. "You really showed your true face outside!" Cecilia Asoro grumbles. And she adds: "The way you talked to Djamila's companion was absolutely disrespectful!"
But even Papis Loveday can't contain himself. "He treated people outside badly," he reports. "Even the cameraman! No respect! He's a fat giant baby!" At some point, Citiolo even doesn't know how to defend himself against the attacks other than temporarily running out of the studio.
Anyone who thought that the "Cosi-Gate" had already ended with this scandal at the "Big Reunion" is wrong. RTL asked the aforementioned cameraman what had happened during the shoot with Citiolo. Accordingly, the "Checker vom Neckar" reacted quite harshly to a styling tip from the TV professional. "I just asked him if he would like to keep his sunglasses on while we were shooting inside. With the explanation that it would otherwise create a certain distance," explains the cameraman, which fueled Citiolo's displeasure.
Loveday, on the other hand, goes into detail again in the RTL interview: "He just made a fool of the cameraman! These people work for us day and night. Without these people you wouldn't be where you are!" Loveday even goes so far as to say, "The guy's evil," looking at Citiolo.
Asoro also follows up again in the RTL interview. Among other things, Citiolo made negative comments about the appearance of jungle queen Djamila Rowe, she explains. "When he noticed that he came across well in the outside world, he thought: 'The whole world revolves around me now,'" says Asoro and adds: "Cosimo had a high and immediately took off his mask."
Citiolo, on the other hand, sees himself wrongly pilloried. "They want to portray me as if I'm fake," he says. His former fellow campers apparently would have liked to take him apart. Again and again they would look for points of attack in him - so he sees no reason for a reconciliation. Looks like the "Cosi-Gate" is far from over.
