Drama in Montauban in the Tarn-et-Garonne. Two elderly women, 67 and 84, were killed in a collision with a car driven 88 years ago.

One victim died on the spot, the other was taken to the hospital and later died from his injuries. The driver, who was shocked, was also taken to the hospital.

The prosecution opened an investigation into "manslaughter", as is customary in this type case.

The first element states that the victims had gone to a nearby supermarket before they crossed the pedestrian crossing. La Depeche du Midi reports that the driver wouldn't have seen the women crossing.
