Tasteless action: Kanye West declares Pete Davidson dead

He just can't help himself: Once again, Kanye West takes on his rival Pete Davidson in a nasty way. So he quickly declares him dead after reports had previously circulated that the comedian and West's ex Kim Kardashian had split up.

Kanye West has once again fired at his rival Pete Davidson with a tasteless move. The rapper posted a fake New York Times front page on Instagram reporting Davidson's death. The news had just circulated that Davidson and West's ex-wife Kim Kardashian had split.

"Skete Davidson died at the age of 28," read in bold letters on the alleged front page of the respected newspaper. "Skete" is West's disdainful nickname for the comedian. The meaning of the word is unclear.

West also attacks his rap rival Kid Cudi in this context. "Kid Cudi wanted to play at the funeral but was afraid of bottle throwers," reads the fake headline in small type. West is referring to an incident at a concert where bottles were actually thrown at Kid Cudi on stage. As a friend of Davidson's, Kid Cudi has also fallen out of favor with West.

It's not West's first questionable reference to Davidson's death. In the video for his song "Eazy", a clay figure is buried alive that looks similar to the 28-year-old. The singer repeatedly raged against the comedian on his Instagram page. West's verbal blunders even resulted in his account being temporarily suspended in March.

Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson recently reportedly split after nine months of dating. Their busy schedules did not allow a relationship, it was said to justify.

West and Kardashian got married in 2014. They have four children together. Kardashian filed for divorce in February 2021, and a court approved it in March 2022. Since then, West has made it clear that he would like his ex back. However, she shows no interest in a love comeback with him.
