The Pasapalabra jackpot continues to gain weight little by little, already accumulating 382,000 euros. This week the presence of Mamen Mendizábal stands out, who has already made it clear to Roberto Leal that she has disembarked willing to help the contestant take the money. Let's get to know this television figure a little better.
Born in Madrid in 1976, Mendizábal treasures an extensive career as a journalist and television presenter. After studying Journalism at the Complutense University of Madrid, her professional career began to take shape at Cadena Ser, where she shared space with Iñaki Gabilondo on Hoy por Hoy and was a substitute for Gemma Nierga on La ventana during her maternity leave in 2005. In the station also presented the weekend program Vanishing Point.
Although her voice was beginning to be recognized, the general public put a face to her in 2004 when she was recruited by TVE to present 59 seconds. She remained in charge of the innovative debate program on La 1 for two years, until she was signed by La Sexta, a television channel that had just been born.
At the beginning of the new Atresmedia channel, Mendizábal was in charge of presenting the news in the night edition and the Sixth Sense program. Already in 2011, she moved to Más vale tarde, an evening magazine that she directed for 10 years and which won her the 2014 Ondas Award for best television presenter.
Mamen Mendizábal has led several other Atresmedia projects, such as Debates on the Limit, Scoop and Unexpected Encounters, among others.
She is currently immersed in Anatomy of..., a format with the narrative of a true crime, which carefully and exhaustively dissects stories that intrigue us so that the viewer reconsiders what really happened. There are, for example, the urban legend of Surprise, Surprise, with Ricky Martin, a dog and a jar of jam as protagonists, or the air traffic controllers' strike.
