Tennis. Wimbledon: Tan and Cornet are eliminated. Kyrgios wins the quarterfinals

Alize Cornet was able to return to the earth after this feat. Alja Tomljanovic, an Australian tennis player, defeated the Frenchwoman who ended Iga Swiatek's winning streak on Saturday.

After a strong first set, where she led 4-1 in her favor, Nicoise, 32 years old, lost the thread and saw her opponent (44th), regain the lead.

Cornet (37th), double broken in the final set, held on despite pain (she had both her thighs strapped), but eventually gave up on her serve. She was exhausted at 4-6, 6-4 and 6-3.

Harmony Tan, who was a revelation in the tournament after her victory against Serena Williams at the first round, also failed to make the knockout stage.

The American Amanda Anisimova (N.20), dominated the young Frenchwoman (115th) in large widths in 1h13 (6-2 and 6-3).

The two French women who were in the final race are now out of the picture, but they don't have to be embarrassed about their achievements.

The 40th ranked Australian Nick Kyrgios won a tough match Monday. He beat American Brandon Nakashima (56th), 4-6,6-4, 7-6 (7/2), 3-6 and 6-2.

Kyrgios reached this stage for the second consecutive time at Wimbledon after 2014 and will attempt to climb for his first time in the final four of a Grand Slam tournament.

He will be facing the Chilean Cristian Garin (43) who defeated Alex de Minaur (19th), after winning a marathon match (4h34).
