Tennis/Wimbledon. Alcaraz knocked out by Sinner to reach the quarter-finals

Jannik Sinner, 13th place in the world, won the spectacular duel of youngwolves against Carlos Alcaraz (7th), on Sunday. He won 6-1,6-4, 6-7 (8/10), and 6-3 in round 16 at Wimbledon. The Spaniard started badly and ran for the score five times, including five match points.

The quarters will see the Italian, who is 20 years old, taking part in his second Wimbledon. He was eliminated in round one last year.

Sinner had reached the Grand Slam quarterfinals twice before (Roland Garros 2020 and Australian Open 2022), but he never managed to get further. Before starting the 2022 London Major, Sinner had never won a match in grass.

The 19-year-old Spaniard was a sensation of the first half season and was playing his second Wimbledon, his third grass tournament of his life, after being eliminated in the second round last years.
