A 41-year old man was sentenced by the Avignon Court Criminal Court to 30 months imprisonment for his domestic violence against his partner.
A suspended sentence and a placement pursuant to a warrant for committal are part of the sentence. The facts of which he was accused date from June 30, and take place in Pontet, road to Saint-Saturnin-les-Avignon. Because the defendant arrived at his residence, the victim is strangled and slapped. The defendant then activates the "serious threat" phone she was given after previous violence. The suspect fled the scene before the gendarmes arrived, but was arrested three days later.
