The jungle queen has plans: Djamila Rowe doesn't want to "go completely crazy"

After her victory in the jungle camp, Djamila Rowe not only owns a chic flower crown and a scepter. She is also richer by 100,000 euros. She already knows pretty well how she wants to invest the money. But before that, she may still have a bone to pick.

"I'm doing fantastic. I'm slowly realizing that I've become the jungle queen." This is what Djamila Rowe sounds like a few hours after being elected the winner of "I'm a Celebrity – Get Me Out of Here!". During the coronation itself, however, she was still a bit confused, the 55-year-old admits: "I was completely overwhelmed with this situation."

From the title she hopes "that even at my age I can maybe take place again in one or the other format, although I'm a certain age now where you're a bit over the top for many formats," explains the jungle queen and adds: "But I think I've shown that you can tear something again in old age."

Back in Germany, she will see her cosmetic surgeon as soon as possible, she admits: "The next appointment with the beauty doctor has to work very quickly, because moving my forehead is not possible. I think the time in the jungle pulled my botox out of me." It will probably only be two or three days before she sees the doctor, says Rowe, who lost six kilos at the camp.

Her prize money of 100,000 euros will not only be spent on beauty treatments, she promises. "The money is of course also for my daughter's education later. That means it won't be wasted immediately, but I will handle it very carefully." She herself is anyway "rather modest and stingy," says Rowe. "I'll continue to get my groceries from the discounter. I'm not going to go completely crazy here."

The trained make-up artist explains that she also wants to use the money to "fulfill a personal wish" for her 13-year-old daughter and her 25-year-old son, such as a new mobile phone or a computer. But she especially wishes for a vacation together with the two of them. "My plan is to fly to New York with both children. When my daughter is on vacation, to a really nice hotel where we don't have to worry about whether it's three, four or five stars."

When asked about her personal highlight on the show, Rowe goes right back to the beginning. "That was the jump out of the plane as soon as I got in. I think it was 3,000 meters high. That was my highlight because I'm actually afraid of heights." She didn't dare to refuse the jump, but ultimately "really pulled it off without batting an eyelid," she says proudly.

But she also takes a lot with her. "The jungle was a kind of therapy for me. I learned a lot about myself. And I've grown a lot," says Rowe, adding: "I never thought that a television format would have such an effect on a person can."

Of the other candidates, Luigi "Gigi" Birofio in particular grew fond of her, the jungle queen reveals. In the last few days of the camp, he has "developed a lot", is her verdict. "He said he's coming to Berlin and then I should invite him to a kebab. Okay. Let's do it," she reveals. She also wants to stay in touch with other fellow campaigners - "with Claudia Effenberg, with Cecilia, Markus, Papis, Jolina."

Actually, she broke up with everyone on good terms, she says, but admits that she still expects surprises. "Haven't seen anything on the show. Haven't heard anything yet. I'm a complete virgin to that. I want to do some research on here first."

She is possibly alluding to a quote from Lucas Cordalis that she is confronted with in the interview without knowing the context. "Lucas said you didn't understand anything about things like family honor because you grew up in the home. How do you answer that?" the question asked. "I don't know anything about that," replies a stunned Rowe. "Disgusting statement, I think. I think he shot himself with that, didn't he? What kind of statement is that? I didn't know that. Now I also understand some of the reactions from people as far as he's concerned. That's what he said?" She follows in surprise.

Certainly enough material for the reunion of the jungle stars in the tree house. "I'm a star – get me out of here! The big reunion" can be seen on RTL on Monday evening at 8:15 p.m. and can of course also be streamed and accessed on RTL. There might still be a need for clarification...
