Thursday July 7th, Thonon-les-Bains' rescue team intervened at 3:30 p.m. in order to retrieve a boat that was lost on the lake.
Two people were in a boat that was carrying them when it was swept by the Thonon winds. Two people were thrown into the water, and a CGN boat was called to assist them. More fear than danger. Rescuers on duty to rescue Didier Christian, Pascal de Thonon and Pascal de Thonon were warned by firefighters to avoid the boat drifting off shore. It was a foolish decision that could have resulted in the death of its occupants, who were not used to the wind gusts from Lake Geneva.
