According to the fire department, three people were hurt when the helicopter crashed into the Atlantic Ocean off the Miami Beach coast.

According to a tweet, the crash took place around 1:10 p.m. Police released a video showing the Robinson R44 helicopter dive into the sea dangerously close to the beach.

According to Miami Beach Fire Department, there were three people aboard the helicopter. According to NBC News, the spokesperson for the pilot said that he is in stable condition and was "doing okay".

According to the spokesperson, the two passengers were sitting in the backseat. They have now broken their backs. The three passengers were all taken to hospital in stable condition.

A spokesperson for the fire department stated that the victims of the accident were not hurt. According to the spokesperson, if the crash had occurred 50 yards away from land, "we would have experienced a mass casualty event."

Some parts of the beach were closed. Numerous agencies, including the Federal Aviation Administration, were on the scene. It is not known what caused the crash.

"The FAA will conduct an investigation. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) will also be involved. "The NTSB will conduct the investigation and provide updates," stated the FAA in a statement.
