Thuringia: 120 million euros: Aid program planned for companies

Erfurt (dpa/th) - With a 120 million euro aid program, the state government wants to help small and medium-sized companies in need. The so-called livelihood security program is intended for companies "that threaten to get into economic difficulties due to the energy crisis," said a spokesman for the Thuringian Ministry of Economic Affairs on request. Economics Minister Wolfgang Tiefensee (SPD) wants to give details on Tuesday (1 p.m.). The program is part of an aid package with a volume of around 230 million euros. It is expected to start in early December. Direct financial grants are planned, the spokesman explained.
