Thuringia: 42-year-old causes traffic accident under the influence of drugs

Nohra (dpa/th) - A 42-year-old driver collided with his vehicle on Autobahn 4 near Isseroda with a truck. The man was driving in the direction of Dresden on the right-hand side of the road near the Eichelborn service area when he lost control of his vehicle and left the road to the right, the police said on Tuesday. He crashed into the left rear of a truck that was just about to enter the A4 on the acceleration lane. The 36-year-old truck driver was unharmed in the accident on Monday afternoon. The 42-year-old was slightly injured. The driver tested positive for amphetamines. The police estimate the property damage at 50,000 euros.
