Thuringia: 43-year-old hit by car and seriously injured

Sondershausen (dpa/th) - A man was hit by a car in Sondershausen (Kyffhäuserkreis) and seriously injured. The 43-year-old was taken to a hospital by rescue workers with serious injuries to his hand and head, the police said on Wednesday. He stepped onto the street behind a power box on Tuesday evening. The 36-year-old driver was not injured. It is still unclear exactly how the accident happened. The amount of damage caused has not yet been determined.
