Gera (dpa/th) - When two cars collided on the federal highway 92 in Gera, one person died. The 49-year-old succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the accident, as the situation center of the Ministry of the Interior announced on Friday. On Thursday evening, for reasons that are still unclear, he got into the oncoming lane and collided head-on with the car of a 24-year-old. He was taken to hospital with serious injuries after being freed from his car by firefighters. The total damage was estimated by the police at around 20,000 euros.
