Thuringia: 62-year-old driver seriously injured by container hooks

Breitungen (dpa/th) - A 62-year-old driver was seriously injured on Monday by a truck container hook. The man was driving his car from the direction of Breitungen (Schmalkalden-Meiningen) when he collided with the container hook of the truck near the oil mill in Fambach, the police said on Tuesday. Accordingly, the 25-year-old truck driver reversed out of a property exit and overlooked the driver. The roof of the car was covered by the hook. The 62-year-old lost control of his car, went off the road and collided again with a metal fence. The pensioner was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
