Sülzfeld (dpa/th) - A driver died in an accident in the Schmalkalden-Meiningen district. The 81-year-old left the road on Saturday morning on the state road 3019 between Meiningen and Sülzfeld with his vehicle for reasons that have not yet been clarified, as a police spokesman said early Sunday morning. The car then crashed into a tree and rolled over several times.
As a result of the rollover, the driver was thrown from his car. The man died at the scene of the accident. The "Ostthüringer Zeitung" had previously reported on the accident.
