Erfurt (dpa/th) - In Thuringia there will be no school holiday ticket for local transport during the summer holidays this year. It is superfluous this year because of the 9-euro ticket, as the association Bus und Bahn, an association of Thuringian regional bus companies, announced on Thursday. The 9-euro ticket is valid until the end of August. It is therefore valid during the summer holidays, which in Thuringia last from July 18th to August 27th. A holiday ticket for school children will not be available again until next year. According to the association, it has been used by hundreds of thousands of children and young people on buses, trams and local trains since the 1990s.
