Thuringia: 9-euro tickets should not be laminated

Erfurt (dpa/th) - Stadtwerke Erfurt warn passengers against laminating 9-euro tickets. Since the tickets are made of so-called thermal paper, the heat from the laminator triggers an undesirable process: the ticket discolours, becomes unusable and loses its validity, the company announced on Friday. According to the transport regulations of the Verkehrsverbund Mittelthüringen, laminated tickets are invalid and will not be accepted. According to the information, these regulations apply nationwide in all transport companies and associations.

The 9-euro ticket entitles you to use all local public transport offers throughout Germany for one month. It can be purchased for the months of June, July and August.
