Erfurt (dpa/th) - In Thuringia, around 275,500 declarations on property tax have been submitted so far. This corresponds to a rate of around 19.5 percent of the expected 1.5 million declarations, as the Ministry of Finance announced on Wednesday in Erfurt. Although many explanations were still missing, the employees worked through everything continuously and sent out property tax value notices and property tax measurement notices.
The ministry asked that questions about the current processing status be refrained from. Statements on the amount of property tax to be paid individually are also not possible. The municipalities would only set their assessment rates in the course of 2024. The new property tax will then be due from January 1, 2025.
