Suhl (dpa/th) - The district court of Suhl has issued an arrest warrant against a 57-year-old for attempted murder. The man is accused of seriously injuring his 60-year-old partner during a dispute in the shared apartment on Wednesday, the police said on Friday. The woman only survived thanks to emergency surgery. The suspect was arrested without resistance.
The public prosecutor's office in Meiningen assessed the act as attempted murder and applied for an arrest warrant at the district court on Thursday. After this was issued, the 57-year-old was transferred to prison. Meanwhile, the investigation continued. No further information was given for investigative reasons.
